For would-be retirees fifty years of age and older of most nationalities, a retirement visa allows them to stay indefinitely so long as the visa is renewed annually. Additional financial requirements must be met regarding minimum account balances in a Thai bank account. 

Golden Visas  

Thailand offers several so-called ‘golden visa’ opportunities. These require a significant investment in Thailand or a specific payment for a specified number of years. For those who can afford them, these visas provide a hassle-free way to stay in Thailand indefinitely.
